What’s your background?

I was born and raised in Southern California. I began my higher education at the College of Southern Nevada where I also played softball for the school.  I came to Utah in 2009 to play softball for Utah Valley University and received a Bachelor of Arts in History. After completing my softball career and finishing up my degree  I managed a men’s clothing store. I loved studying history and found that I have a passion for research and insights.

Describe how you came to be in the role you’re in now.

After my college graduation I wanted to start a professional career and found bChannels. I was hired as an MST as well as working 50 percent of my time with the Professional Services team. About 6 months after starting at bChannels I went on maternity leave and returned working 100 percent of my time with Professional Services. I enjoy working in the research arm of the company and have been able  to expand my role into a research specialist working with survey design and implementation, directing desk based research initiatives and reaching out to our expert network.

 

What part of your personality makes you most suited for your job?

I am really detail orientated and like to be very organized. My role requires research and data collection and I am usually on multiple projects at once so staying organized is extremely important. I like that my work requires attention to detail and that there is always something new to learn.

 

What’s your favorite thing about working at bChannels?

What I love most about bChannels is that you never feel like you’re just an employee. In the time that I have been with bChannels the upper management has always made me feel important and like I truly matter to the company. bChannels is always looking to be innovative in the IT industry and with their employees. I love that I work for a company where I have balance between my work life and being a mother.

 

How would you describe bChannels to someone who is thinking about working here? bChannels really cares about their people. While they strive to be the best in the industry they are also looking for ways to highlight and reward their employees for their work. Gaining knowledge and expanding your skills is something that is encouraged through the environment of being a friendly work place and the ability to have fun or insightful conversations with everyone including the CEO.
